Name: Phoenix
Age: Either 1, 30, or Uncountable billions of years old, depending on how you look at it. She looks 30, though, and has an adult's emotional maturity.
Profession: Wanderer
Backstory: Before our cosmos came to be, there was another. As they inexorably fell towards heat death, 107 mighty civilizations that millions thousands of galaxies each fought a massive war about what to do about the end. No consensus was ever reached, but they were able to agree on one thing: There was no way to save the cosmos, but there would be another one after it. They would project their wills beyond the end, and that will would wait until suitable hosts appeared, so they could continue in some form after death.
Then they all died and the universe ended.
Then the big bang happened and OUR universe was born. It went on quietly until humanity started looking out to the stars, and found the Cosmic Wills of dead civilizations. 107 Cosmic Wills, upon being noticed, raced to Earth to each possess a human host. The Cosmic Wills held immense power, and almost destroyed the Earth, but humanity is persistent, and managed to survive.
The Cosmic Wills were all compelled to reestablish whatever philosophy the dead civilization they represented espoused, and usually to destroy all the other Wills that opposed them. A few of them started trying to remove Earth entirely so they could rebuilt the previous universe but one of them, the Phoenix, resisted, believing that the First Cosmos was dead, and trying to recreate it in this Second Cosmos was not rebirth but stagnation. There was a mighty battle that Phoenix lost, ending with her getting dunked into a lake of lava, which cooled over her head. This didn't kill her, because the Phoenix represented rebirth, and could shrug off just about anything, but she was stuck.
15 years is less than an eye blink to something that had out waited the death of the universe, but the Cosmic Will was now held in a human body, and a human mind cannot maintain itself for that long. When someone finally freed Phoenix, she was catatonic.
The "Someone" was the Scales of Solomon, an organization dedicated to advancing human interests in a world infested with alien gods. When their agents found Phoenix in her diminished and pliable state, they realized they could turn her into a weapon to use against the enemies of mankind (and, eventually, against the enemies of the Scales of Solomon too). Phoenix's life was one of either imprisonment or battle as she was forced to fight against the other Cosmic Wills again and again.
One day, the Scales of Solomon were forced to smuggle Phoenix across international borders, so they stuck her in an airtight box (it's not like she needed to breath) and hired an independent courier to do it. That all went wrong when the courier realized she was carrying a human being (or at least something shaped like a human being) and decided to go rogue and help this poor strange creature.
Phoenix, who spent fifteen years trapped in solid stone, followed by a year as a living weapon for the Scales, had largely forgotten how to interact with other people, but with the help of Mona the courier, she is starting to remember. Only time will tell how far she will get while the Scales are hot on her heels and the other Cosmic Wills seek her death.
TL;DR: Dead civilization from another dimension downloaded its power and will into a human vessel, obliterating her personality. Then various traumas obliterated her personality AGAIN, leaving her in a very impressionable state that shady people took advantage of until they lost track of her. Now she has a new lease on life but a very shaky idea of what it means to be a person and phenomenal cosmic power.

Powers
- COSMIC WILL: Phoenix's body is human, but the mind controlling it is anything but. Being not so much a person as a conduit to the energy and will of a dead civilization from another dimension, Phoenix does not need to eat, drink, or breathe and is generally sturdier and stronger than an ordinary human.
- FIRE: Phoenix can generate fire. This is not a precision ability. She tends to either shoot big blasts of flame, or just cover her entire body in a layer of fire. Naturally, this also gives her immunity to all but the most intense of fire.
- REGENERATION: Phoenix bounces back from injuries almost immediately. Even the most grievous of wounds will knit themselves back together in seconds.
- REBIRTH: If you DO manage to kill Phoenix, expect a gigantic explosion, followed by an unquenchable fire that will burn for usually about 24 hours. When it finally burns itself out, Phoenix will be healthy again, though she will be disoriented and confused for some time afterwards.
First Impressions
- VISUAL: 181cm/5'11", muscular (but kind of wiry), dark skin, white hair, eyes glow sometimes. Wears a lightweight skintight fireproof suit which she will layer other fashions on top of. She favors light and flowy clothes in bright and cheerful colors. The kind of person who might unironically wear a cape.
- AURAL: Deep and husky voice.
- OLFACTORY: Smells of ash and ozone. If you have a particularly acute sense of smell, you would not think she smells human.
- DEMEANOR: Quietly intense. Stares at things (and people) a lot. Acts impulsively. Tends to get highly emotional about small things, but such moods rarely last long.

- PHYSICAL AFFECTION: Phoenix is almost entirely ignorant about human behavior, and might be confused, but she'll get there in the end.
- PHYSICAL VIOLENCE: Phoenix is enormously powerful and can regenerate from just about anything. Do your worst.
- RELATIONSHIPS: Go for it, but she will ask a LOT of questions.
- PSYCHIC & PSIONIC INFORMATION: an unassailable tower of willpower, you will find it difficult to force Phoenix to do anything she doesn't want to. More subtle approaches may prove more fruitful.
- MAGICAL INFORMATION: very powerful and associated with fire and healing. More fire than healing.
- MEDICAL INFORMATION: Healthy adult woman infused with cosmic might. Phoenix has no scars. She can't scar, in fact, unless something harms her on a conceptual level.
- OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: Phoenix will react with violent fear if she feels like she can't move, and is afraid of the dark. It reminds her of the time she spent trapped underground.

- BACKTAGGING: Go for it! The worst that can happen is I won't respond (and I might not if it's more than, like, a week or two old)
- THREADHOPPING: If it's a kind of silly thread then feel free to jump in willy nilly. If it's something more serious, please ask first.
- FOURTHWALLING: I would prefer you do not.
- OFFENSIVE SUBJECTS & TRIGGERS: I don't PERSONALLY have any real triggers, but if you're mentioning something particularly graphic or offensive (rape, child abuse, etc), maybe put a warning into the subject header for the sake of others reading our thread.
- ANYTHING ELSE? I think you're pretty cool.
